Scoring Guide

Your weekly score is built from three things you do every shift. Here's exactly what each one measures and how to earn a strong score — no surprises.

The big picture

Presence 35%
Monitoring 35%
Success 30%

Each shift you're scored on being present (35%), monitoring and securing your sessions (35%), and how your scholars are moving (30%). Those combine into your weekly score, which sets your performance band. Bonus is paid monthly.

Category 1
Shift presence
35%

That you're actually at your post for the whole shift — not just clocked in at the start.

You check in when your shift begins, then every hour a quick attendance check pops up and stays open for 10 minutes. Tap it to confirm you're there. Your presence score is simply how many of those checks you answer during the shift. Checking in on time matters too — arriving late costs a few points, but the hourly checks are what really count.

What earns what
FullYou answered every hourly check and started on time.
PartialYou missed a check or two — you score the share you answered (miss 1 of 5 → 80).
Zero for that shiftYou answered fewer than half the checks, or didn't show at all. That shift earns nothing toward bonus.
Never counts against youA check that pops while you're inside a tutoring session is credited automatically. A check the system drops, or one lost to an outage, is removed — it's never your fault.
A real example
Mon — answered 4 of 5, checked in at 3:04 (within grace): 80. Wed — all 5, on time: 100. Fri — only 2 of 5 (below half): 0. Your week: (80 + 100 + 0) ÷ 3 = 60.
How to score well
Check in by 3:15 PM — after that you take a punctuality hit.
Keep the portal open and answer every pop within its 10-minute window.
If you step away, be inside a session — those pops auto-credit.
Never let a shift fall below half your pops answered.
Category 2
Session monitoring
35%

That you help every session you own actually happen — and that you sit in on the ones that hold.

At the start of each day, the scheduled sessions are shared out among the SSMs on duty, so you own a set of sessions. For each one: if a scholar looks like they might not show, reach out (call or message) before the session starts — use Log reach-out so it's timestamped. If the session holds, join it for at least 5 minutes. At the end of your shift, file your report with notes and action points.

What earns what
FullThe session held and you joined for at least 5 minutes.
PartialThe session held, but you didn't join it.
Full — effort creditThe session was missed, but you logged a reach-out before it started. You did your job; a scholar's no-show isn't held against you.
ZeroThe session was missed and you never reached out. This is the only real miss.
A real example
Calling ahead is everything. Two scholars no-show — if you logged a reach-out before each session started, both still score full. If you logged nothing, both score zero. Same outcome on the floor; the difference is whether you tried.
How to score well
Log a reach-out before start for any scholar who might not show.
Join every session that holds for at least 5 minutes.
Reach out early — a call after the session starts doesn't count.
File your end-of-shift report every shift.
Category 3
Assigned scholar success
30%

Whether your scholars are moving in the right direction — not where they started.

Each week we look at how your scholars are doing — mostly their task completion and attendance — and compare it to the week before. You're rewarded for moving struggling scholars up, and for keeping strong scholars strong. You're scored on the change you create, not the book you were handed — so a tough group that's improving scores well. One scholar having an off week won't be held against you, and new scholars start with a diagnostic and don't count toward your score until their second week.

What earns what
LiftedA scholar improved from last week. This is the win.
Held highA strong scholar stayed strong. Maintaining counts as a win too.
FlatSteady, no real change — neutral.
SlippedA scholar dropped. This counts against you, but it's capped so one scholar can't sink your whole book.
New scholarTheir diagnostic sets a starting band so you know where to focus. They don't affect your score until their second week.
A real example
You're judged on movement, not position. An SSM who inherits six at-risk scholars and pulls three of them up scores better than one who was handed six high-flyers and let them drift. The hand you were dealt is never the thing you're scored on.
How to score well
Put your outreach where it moves the needle — your at-risk scholars.
Keep your high-flyers engaged; holding them steady is a win.
Watch the weekly trend, not a single snapshot.
Use the bands to triage, then work the ones who can move.

Bands & bonus

Your weekly scores place you in a performance band. Because a few strong weeks and a few weak ones tell a very different story than a single average, each week is banded on its own and your monthly bonus is worked out from those — one bad week never quietly drags a great month down. Bonus is paid monthly. The exact bands and bonus rates will be confirmed before the first payout.
